BTC Adds IP67 Waterproof Connectors & Magnetic Modular Jacks to Their Product Roster
The Edac Group – one of BTC’s 30 franchised/authorized lines - has expanded their line of waterproof connectors and now offers a new line of magnetic jacks.

BTC Electronic Components (BTC) – a value-added, stocking connector distributor headquartered in Wake Forest, NC – is pleased to announce the roster of products they distribute to customers has grown. The Edac Group – one of BTC’s 3 franchised/authorized lines - has expanded their line of waterproof connectors and now offers a new line of magnetic jacks.

Below are some of the features of BTC’s two new product offerings:

The new expanded line of IP67 Waterproof Connectors, available in both wire-wire and wire-broad, for both extreme moisture and submersion applications. Design features include a simple crimp and poke application, interface seals designed and tested to IP67 rating, compatible with UL 28-14 AWG cable and the availability of waterproof caps for the 565 and 566 series. The series also incorporates integral locking tabs, a keying system and visual confirmation for proper sealing.

The new line of Magnetic Modular Jacks incorporates wire-wound magnetics in a RJ45 connector. Magnetic Jacks have recently increased in popularity due to labor savings as there as only a single component to mount instead of two. Additionally, as a result of only one component being mounted, there is a reduced footprint on the printed circuit board.
